Essential Responsibilities:

Responsibilities including all steps, starting with raw material controls to final controls for insulated underground cables up to 400KV and PVC insulated underground low voltage cables.

Coordination of all inspection tests for the local and foreign customers.

Preparing inspection and test plans, quality plans, test procedures and examine the customer’s technical specifications during the quotation stage.

Site tests for High Voltage cables up to 220 KV. 

Job Requirements

Min. 10 years of Experience in Power Cables Quality Control field is a MUST.

B. Sc. in Electrical power engineering from a reputable university.

Advanced personal and interpersonal skills, leadership, Management, etc,

Job Description

(Duties are illustrative and not inclusive and may vary with individual assignment)

Manage Design of Dry Type transformers
planning a day to day production activity which includes core cutting, winding, core-coil assembly, tank etc. without workmanship failure.
Testing and final dispatch of product.
Quality Assurance activities including test report preparation and documentation related to ISO standers.
Material management which includes major part of fabrication section.
Handling final Inspection
Handling of Manpower— skilled as well as unskilled.
Preparation and checking of inspection reports.
Design & manufacturing as per ISO standards.
Checking of calibration reports and maintenance of testing instruments.
Looking after Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Plant up gradation & Improvements activities. 

Job Requirements

Min. 12 to 20 Years of Experience in Dry Type Transformers production field out of which Min. 6 years in an Executive position is a MUST.

Have both Technical and Commercial experience exposure.

Engineering Back ground- preferred to be Electrical Power Engineering- other degrees (Masters, PHD) will be preferred.

The Client

My client is a UK consultancy who are active in a wide range of sectors including offshore wind, wave & tidal and oil & gas.  Due to an ever increasing portfolio of projects they URGENTLY want to take on a Subsea Principal Cabling Engineer to join their team in the UK

The Role

As a senior member of the cable engineering team you will work on a range of projects providing consultancy services from inception to completion – this will include planning, feasibility studies & installation supervision.

You must have a proven track record with subsea cable design or installation and, due to the seniority of the position, at least 5 years experience in a similar role.

You will preferably be degree qualified or equivalent with an in-depth understanding of complete project lifecycle and have a consultancy background as well as practical, hands-on experience of cable installation & associated works.
