Nexans Announces 2010 First Half-Year Results

Leoni Raises 2010 Sales and Earnings Forecasts Significantly

Leoni AG of Nuremberg has raised its forecast for fiscal 2010. The Company now expects to generate sales of between EUR 2.6 and 2.7 billion and thus to achieve a year-on-year increase of between 20 and 25 percent. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) are now put at about EUR 100 million. Leoni previously projected a sales rise of about 10 percent to EUR 2.4 billion with EBIT of at least EUR 50 million.

Nexans completes successful test of world’s first HVDC superconducting power transmission system

Nexans, the worldwide leader in the cable industry, has completed successfully the test of the world’s first HVDC high temperature superconductor (HTS) power transmission cable designed for 200 kV. Nexans wins Euros 9 million cable contract for China’s Taishan nuclear power plant

Nexans, the worldwide leader in the cable industry, has been awarded a Euros 9 million contract by China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd (CNPEC) to supply specialised low-voltage (LV) power, control and instrumentation cables for the 1,660 MWe Taishan EPR nuclear power plant currently under construction in Guangdong Province.
