Egypt’s El Sewedy Cables said on Sunday it was part of a consortium that won a 1 billion Egyptian pound ($183 million) electricity link project.
The power line will link the Abu Qir area in the north of Egypt to Badr City, about 50 km east of Cairo on the Ismailia Road, the company said.

Maser supplies industrial steel cables for QLD oil refinery

Maser Communications (Australia) has supplied a series of specialist steel wire armoured cables to a Queensland Oil Refinery.
According to Maser, after suffering through issues associated with cable degradation, the end-user outlined its requirements for a robust cable construction and Maser suggested a steel wire armoured solution that would provide the necessary mechanical protection.

Interserve Wins £40m Dubai Ducab Contract

Interserve, the services, maintenance and building group, has won a £40 million contract to create an industrial development in Jebel Ali through its Dubai associate company Khansaheb Civil Engineering. The project involves the construction of an extensive factory complex for the Ducab HV joint venture comprising DUCAB (Dubai Cable Company), DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) and ADWEA (Abu Dhabi Electricity and Water Authority).
