Habia Cable has recently signed a contract with KHNP (Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power) in South Korea for manufacturing and delivery of high performance Habiatron cables for the new nuclear power plants Shin Kori 3&4, APR 1400.
The delivery includes LOCA Class 1E safety cables which will be installed inside the containment area. The contract is valued at approx. 1,5 MEuro and deliveries are scheduled for 2010 through to 2012.
The contract is a result of Habia Cable’s strong focus on selective geographical markets in combination with a strong focus on a few business segments. It is also continues the long term business relationship with KHNP, where Habia Cable has supplied safety related cables to all reactor new builds and upgrades over the last 10-15 years.
