At the International FireExpo event at the NEC on 21st May, Draka introduced a new design of circuit integrity power cable that is expected to be received favourably by electrical contractors engaged in the provision of energy supplies for Fire Engineering Systems.
Draka have branded the new product Firetuf Powerplus, to indicate the enhanced performance of this cable when compared to existing products manufactured in accordance with BS7846. Firetuf Powerplus is also manufactured in accordance with BS7846 and complies constructionally with this well established standard.

The Buildings Regulations Approved Document B on fire safety was revised on 1st. April 2007 and this now specifies cable fire performance in accordance with BS 7346-6
