This year’s Middle East Electricity Exhibition has proven to be the best yet for both exhibitors and visitors. In its 32nd year it has broken all previous records. The event was held in the very plush Dubai International Exhibition Centre, and was officially opened by Shaikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum on Sunday 11th of February.
With a dedicated focus on power generation, gas and new and renewable energy, the exhibition featured over 850 local and international exhibitors from 53 countries, covering an area of over 30,000 square feet. This meant an 18% increase up from last year. This year’s show attracted a record total visitor attendance with an increase of 41% up from last year.
Event organiser Sarah Woodbridge, Group Director Exhibitions, IIR Middle East said ‘Not only was this the largest Middle East Electricity Exhibition ever staged. It was also highly productive, both in terms of business generation and as an essential forum for the industry. Feedback from exhibitors and visitors confirms that the effectiveness of the exhibition is still on the increase – this is the result of the process of continual development that resulted in a dedicated focus on lighting, gas and new & renewable energy in previous years and the debut this year of a further focus area for the water industry – great interest was shown, particularly in the highly topical areas of desalination and wastewater, and visitors had the invaluable opportunity to meet some of the world’s leading experts during the show.’ As a supporting Media Partner of this years event ww.thecabledirectory.com (TCD) received an excellent reaction from the event organisers, exhibitors and visitors alike.
